What we do...
Our goal is to save as many dogs as possible. Although a Central & North FL rescue group, we have done some national transport missions to get dogs out of high-kill shelters to safety, all in the hopes of a happily ever after!
We pride ourselves on TLC for ALL dogs, with NO PUP LEFT BEHIND.
Unfortunately, many dogs have been wrongfully treated, and many shelters & rescues are full. And that's where Puptown comes in, because although we may be a small group of crazy dog ladies, we are mighty! We are also HUGE bully lovers, and love a squishy face more than anything. Breaking the "pitbull" breed stigma is very important to us, as the breed is NOT to blame, but the humans who did the breed wrong. (Pitbulls are ahhhhmazing, lazy, lovable and PERFECT family dogs!) Prepare to be educated & informed on all aspects of spay & neuter, chipping, crate-training & proper boundary training, introductions to children & other pets and PITTIES!!
Puptown Gal fundraises for dogs in needs, provides medical treatment, places dogs in foster homes, takes in puppies and has an in-depth adoption process to make sure all our pups go to the best homes possible. We can't survive as a rescue without donations and volunteers, and if you have a soft spot in your heart for fur babies, we want you to join the team!
Please contact us at or through the Contact page if you have questions about a specific dog, inquiries or to notify us of a dog in need.
Who are we?
Meet the main gals:
Melissa Morreale, Founder & President
Melissa is a personal trainer by day, and "dog whisperer" by night. She's been advocating for rescues since 2016 and is the proud fur mom of 5 dogs... Three being foster failures. She is the puppy pro of the group and does her best to have no dog left behind.
Nikki Hoar, Vice President
Nikki is a retired vet tech who went full time mom and rescue advocate. Her soft spot goes to pittie faces, as she loves nothing more than a pitbull's happily ever after. Her previous experience with animal safety and rescue has allowed her to be the perfect addition to the Puptown Gal team!
